Owner and Founder, Paul Spoleti, started Hempsteed with a simple goal in mind: to create an environmentally friendly and sustainable version of horse bedding that is 100% biodegradable and superior to the other bedding options available. Hemp bedding has little to no dust and is vet recommended for horses with respiratory issues. Our bedding will create a healthier, cleaner barn with a major reduction in flies and insects.
Comfort & Control
Hempsteed bedding is incredibly soft. Insulation properties can help to maintain comfortable temperatures in all seasons. Our bedding encourages horses to lay down for longer periods of time. A well rested animal will have greater energy and stamina to perform better and safer. Because urine clumps at the bottom, hooves remain dry and reduce the chances of thrush.
